Storybook ideas

I have been working on an idea to make a children's storybook for a while but I haven't picked it up for a little bit. Now I am more interested again and I am currently looking at making character profiles for all of the main characters.

My other challenge right now is to make the world or "city" where the characters live. I want to make this an interesting book for younger children so I want to have everything mapped out so that if you really thought about it the city and characters would make sense.

The other idea I have been thinking about is making books for children 6-8 that have less pictures and more words but don't throw too many new words at the readers right away. At the moment though I am going to try and develop the one for children because I have already put in quite a bit of time into it. If I get stumped and need a change I will switch to the other and then get back to it.

Well, I must go for now. School is calling. If you have any ideas what you think kids would like to see post me a comment.

Scott, know that one book by Dr. Seuss only has fifty words in it? He was dared he couldn't do it. It's "One fish two fish/red fish blue fish".
If you need to bounce ideas off me, I'm all for it.
