How's the Canadian weather?

Well, I hate to say it but I miss the snow. Every year around this time I feel something is not right. The atmosphere is dull. There's no way to explain it except that I have the Christmas blues.

I miss the jingling of bells when you walk down the main street. I miss the cold crisp air that makes you walk a little quicker. The ice patches that we deftly sidestep (though we hit the odd patch).

I wonder because I always hated the hustle and bustle of the last week. But I do remember the many Christmas Eve's going out in the car checking out all the Christmas lights. That night has to be the most beautiful. Not a sound in the air. No one around, just quiet peacefulness.

I guess I also miss the little time that I spend with my friends and family. To me that is very important. I am here but most people I care for are on the other side of the world and it is so hard for me to express my love and goodwill to all of you.

So this is just a little prologue before Christmas. I will try and compose a little Christmas rhyme before that "most wonderful day of days".
